About boijmans studies
In 2007 Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen embarked upon the Boijmans Studies, a series of scholarly publications about the museum's collection. This project has reinvigorated the museum's long-standing tradition of works about its own collection (primarily catalogues of its holdings). We aim to publish two volumes in the series every year, chronicling the results of wide-ranging research-on a single work, on one area of the collection or on the history of the museum. They could be a catalogue of our own holdings, a restoration report or an extended essay on a particular subject. The common denominator is Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen's collection.
